- サム: ありがとうございます。本当に助かります。 Arigatō gozaimasu. Hontō ni tasukarimasu. (Thanks, that's really helpful.)
- アレックス: 何か必要なときは、いつでもドアをノックしてください。 Nanika hitsuyō na toki wa, itsudemo doa o nokku shite kudasai. (If you need anything, just knock on my door.)

Talk about the languages you speak and learn.

1. Ordering a coffee (コーヒーを注文する) · A1
Order a drink and a snack at a cafe.
- サム: いらっしゃいませ!ご注文は何になさいますか? Irasshaimase! Go-chūmon wa nani ni nasaimasu ka? (Hello! What would you like?)
- アレックス: こんにちは!ミルク入りのコーヒーをお願いします。 Konnichiwa! Miruku iri no kōhī o onegai shimasu. (Hi! A coffee with milk, please.)
- サム: 小さいサイズと大きいサイズ、どちらになさいますか? Chiisai saizu to ōkii saizu, dochira ni nasaimasu ka? (Small or large?)

Talk about the food you like and don't like.
